I have a new addition to the family.... (lens family that is!) I am now the proud owner of Nikon's new fixed focal length prime lens the 85mm AF-S f/1.8G, yes I know, it may sound anorakish but believe me when I say this portrait lens is amazing!!! especially as it only costs a third of what Nikkon's f/1.4 version costs and in my opinion gives just as good results, clear, sharp and the bokeh is to die for..... I will be posting a review on this lens in the next week or two with some sample images, watch this space....
Oh yes, my resolve finally crumpled and the D800 is now pre ordered (this sounds like camera porn...)
Can't wait. (moan...........)
